For those of you who have yearned to paint and stay in a castle in the south of France, we invite you to our 7-day, all-inclusive painting retreat in the breathtaking Dordogne region of Southern France.

The week will be filled with:

* Painting sessions with Marie and Kelly.

We are also planning a trip to neighboring areas of the Dordogne, including Brantôme en Périgord. This picturesque town, often nicknamed the "Venice of the Périgord," is known for its stunning natural beauty, rich history, and tranquil atmosphere, with the Dronne River encircling its historic center.

What Kelly will be teaching:

My goal is for each of you to tap into your intuitive nature and your love for color, atmosphere, and texture to create a painting that genuinely reflects your soul. I will guide you through both direct and indirect methods of layering opaque and transparent paint to achieve incredible atmosphere, and we will explore techniques such as mark making, scumbling, and glazing.

I will provide the initial photo reference for our paintings.

By the end of the workshop, your final painting will not only capture the essence of your subject but also your unique artistic spirit, making it a truly original work of art.

What Marie will be teaching:

Marie will be teaching an exploration of Nontron through paint, texture, and the play of shadow and light. We will explore everything from the ancient stone walls to the surrounding nature.

The workshop will involve:

- On-location sketching in our sketchbooks.

- Exploring various mixed-media techniques on paper.

- Translating the feeling of the landscape through emotion and expressive painting.

Participants will leave Nontron with finished paintings that capture the essence of this magical place.

The Tower is built on the ground floor: an entrance, a living room, a kitchen.

On the top floor the Roof top!!!

With a separate entrance, there is a 2-room apartment, consisting of a kitchen, living room, a bedroom, a bathroom with a toilet.
