Dear Artists,

I am excited to announce my upcoming in-person workshop: Intuitive Portrait Painting 

In this workshop, we will spend the first day creating a portrait underpainting using a photo reference. For the remainder of the week, we will delve into intuitive layering techniques to develop an emotional and atmospheric piece of art.

I will provide the initial photo reference for our paintings. My goal is for each of you to tap into your intuitive nature and your love for color, atmosphere, and texture to create a painting that genuinely reflects your soul. I will guide you through both direct and indirect methods of layering opaque and transparent paint to achieve incredible atmosphere, and we will explore techniques such as mark making, scumbling, and glazing.

By the end of the workshop, your final painting will not only capture the essence of your subject but also your unique artistic spirit, making it a truly original work of art.

Please note the following:

* There is a maximum of 10 students per workshop to ensure personalized attention.

* Students must work exclusively with oil paints (no alkyd or water-soluble substitutes).

* Participants should have some prior experience with oil paints and be familiar with basic supplies and cleanup procedures. Beginners are absolutely welcome!
